Library contest winner chosen

Janet Bares was recently chosen from 678 entries as the grand prize winner in T.B. Scott Free Library’s Lincoln County Reads Adult Summer Library program. For having one of her 10 entry forms chosen, Bares won a prize assortment valued at over $95. Bares’ entry was drawn live on WJMT730 AM’s “Our Town” program.
One hundred sixty-eight readers entered this summer’s contest, themed “Escape the Ordinary,” including 34 new entrants. Thirty-two prizes with a total value of $1,350 were awarded, thanks to the generous support of sponsors Hardee’s, Johnson Gifts & Home Decor, Culver’s, Hugo’s Pizza, Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe, Young’s Drug Store, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes, Auto Jockeys, The Goblin Workshop, and the Friends of T.B. Scott Library.
A companion adult reading program was conducted at Tomahawk Public Library, where 105 participants read 525 books.
