MAPS board members to hold regular community listening sessions

As part of the District’s strategic planning process and in order to provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions, offer ideas and share their concerns, board members of the Merrill Area Public Schools will be holding monthly community listening sessions at our district schools.
“Regular board meetings are very formal and too often do not allow community members to raise concerns or ask questions,” said Wally Leipart, superintendent. “These informal listening sessions will be open to all members of the community and will allow for questions to be answered and concerns addressed in a more direct and open way.”
All listening sessions will be one hour long. A complete schedule of board meetings can be found on the district’s website here: http://www.maps.k12.wi.us/pages/Merrill_Area/District/Board_of_Education/Calendar.
