Deborah ‘Debbie’ L. Ashton, age 68, of Merrill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, under the care of her family and hospice services.
Debbie was born in Rockford, Illinois to the late Wayne and Betty (Doyle) Smith on January 6, 1947. She married Randall ‘Randy’ Ashton of October 13, 1973. Debbie enjoyed reading books and spending time with family and friends.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Randy Ashton of Merrill; her son, Ramcey (Victoria) Ashton of Merrill; her granddaughter, Rhyle Ashton of Merrill; her brother, Jeff (Mary) Smith of Rhinelander; and several nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Betty Smith.
A private memorial service was held. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with arrangements.
