Merrill Rotary Club donates over 300 lbs of groceries to food pantry

The Merrill Rotary Club recently made a large donation to the Community Food Pantry of Merrill, donating over 200 packages exceeding 300 lbs. The donation was accepted by co-manager of the Community Food Pantry, Allan Crevier, at a meeting of the Merrill Rotary Club.
“We are very grateful for this large donation that the Merrill Rotary Club has given us,” said Crevier. “It is wonderful to see a community organization giving their support to the food pantry.”
“This donation was a major local initiative for our club,” said Val Mindak, President of the Merrill Rotary Club. “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results of how much we were able to donate to an organization that helps so many.”
The Merrill Rotary Club continues to help organizations throughout the city of Merrill also recently donating $500 to the American Cancer Society of Merrill for their upcoming Relay for Life.
“We want to help our community any way we can,” said Mindak. “I know all of our club members including myself feel extremely passionate about that.”
