On Thursday, July 2 at approximately 1:21 a.m., the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a domestic disturbance in progress at a residence in the town of Merrill. During the incident, a male party was shot in the leg by his girlfriend.
Deputies responded to the residence. The suspect, a 59-year-old town of Merrill woman, was taken into custody without incident. The victim, a 51-year-old town of Merrill man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for further treatment.
The suspect remains in custody at the Lincoln County Jail.
