Harriet A. Hodgson, age 90, of Merrill, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Harriet was born September 18, 1924, in Merrill, daughter of the late Harold and Ella (Klayum) Krahn. She married Vernon E. Hodgson on July 20, 1945, at Wildwood Chapel, Town of Schley. He preceded her in death October 20, 2013. Harriet had worked at the former Hanson Glove and Fox Point Sportswear, Merrill, and also Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, Merrill. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers, fishing, the Brewers and Packers, berry picking, and spending time at the family cottage in rural Tomahawk.
Harriet is survived by her daughter, Sally (Steven) Storm, Merrill; five grandchildren, Keith (Amalia) Wegner, New London, Tammy (Scott) Haig, Merrill, Steven Storm, Jr., Milwaukee, Brenda (Bill) Hartl and Brad Hodgson, both of Merrill; seven great grandchildren, Braylon, Scott, Jr. (with fiancée, Jamie), Justin, Rachel, Addilyn, Asher, and Alayna; her twin sister, Helen Bruessow, Merrill; a brother, Robert (Audrey) Krahn, Madison; and a sister in law, Patricia Krahn. Besides her parents and husband, Harriet is preceded in death by two sons, Leonard Hodgson and Baby Boy Hodgson; and a brother, Milton Krahn.
Harriet’s funeral will begin at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Wildwood Chapel, Town of Schley. Pastor Angie Steinhauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the church.
