Mitchell F. Suwyn, age 61, of Merrill, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at his home, under the care of his family and hospice services.
Mitch was born November 30, 1953, in Merrill, son of Joyce (Allorie) Suwyn of Irma, and the late Frederick ‘Fritz’ Suwyn. He married Melody Jaeger on August 11, 1973, and she survives. Mitch had been a supervisor at the former Marathon Electric, Wausau, and most recently worked for Robert’s Communication, Weyauwega. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the birds and deer gather in his yard. Mitch also enjoyed the company of his pet dog “Precious”.
Survivors include his wife, Melody Suwyn, Merrill; his mother, Joyce Suwyn, Irma; his daughter, Misty (Brad) Wirt, Brokaw; his son, Chad Suwyn, Merrill; and two brothers, Terry (Wendy) Suwyn, Irma, and Greg Suwyn, Merrill. Besides his father, Fritz Suwyn, Mitch is preceded in death by an infant sister, Debbie Suwyn.
A Memorial Service for Mitch will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Traci Fick will be the reader. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home starting at 4:00 PM on Monday.
