Theodore ?Teddy? W. Baumann

Theodore “Teddy” W. Baumann, 85, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home. He was born December 2, 1929 in Wausau to the late Rudolph and Emma (Lemke) Baumann. He married Bette Litke on March 30, 1961 in Merrill. She survives. 
Teddy was a dairy farmer all his life. He served in the US Air Force 1953 – 1957. Teddy had also worked at the athletic Park Department in Wausau. He enjoyed listening to polka music and loved watching war movies. Teddy was especially interested in history and loved hearing stories about the past. He enjoyed spending time with his special animal friend, Tigger.
Survivors include his wife: Bette Baumann, Merrill; four children: Christine Baumann, Todd (Kim) Baumann, all of Merrill, Sherri (Robert) Mielke, and Timothy Baumann, all of Wausau; two step-children: Susan (Ronald) Pfantz, Merrill, and Allan (Dianna) Hahn, Mosinee; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; one brother: Kenneth (Gay) Baumann; two sisters: Jean (Richard) Binner and Patricia (Richard) Rostal; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by seven siblings and his step-son, Jack Hahn.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, town of Pine River. Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 10 AM until the time of service at the church on Monday. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Restlawn Memorial Park, Town of Texas.  Full Military Honors will be presented by Merrill VFW Post #1638.
Special thanks to the staff at Wausau Manor for their wonderful care of Teddy. Also, thank you Aseracare Hospice for your excellent service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
