THS skaters tipped twice

The Hatchet boys were nipped 5-4 in Thursday’s game with Marshfield, two days after dropping a 7-1 home contest to Waupaca.
The Comets took a 2-0 lead before Alex Ungerer cut it in half with a unassisted power play goal with 11:17 gone. Waupaca would get one more in the first, then add two in each of the remaining periods. Frankie Ellingson scored four goals for the Comets.
“Well, we gave Waupaca all we could,” THS coach Rick Myre said. “We made a few mistakes and Waupaca capitalized on every one. Alex Ungerer scored our only goal and it was good to see him not hit the post. Danny Hanke took quite a few shots and made some great saves. It was nice to have my team back.”
Saves–THS–Dan Hanke 13-12-6–31. WHS– Walker Smith 10-8-8–26. Ryan Kocovsky *-*-3–3.
Marshfield details were unavailable.
