Audrey L. Krueger, age 79, of Merrill, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Audrey was born October 19, 1935, in the Town of Scott, Lincoln County, daughter of the late Hugo and Alma (Kleinschmidt) Zemke. She married Wilmer Krueger on May 10, 1958 at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Merrill. He survives. Audrey enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery, waltzing and polka dancing, and reading. Audrey was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Merrill.
Survivors include her husband, Wilmer Krueger of Merrill; two sisters, Dorothy Woller of Merrill, and Barbara (Jim) Pagel of Wausau; one brother-in-law, Ronald Krueger of Merrill; several nieces and nephews; and her special great-nieces whom she referred to as her granddaughters, Leslie and Emily Heckendorf. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Alma Zemke; two sisters, Fern Zemke and Marian Heckendorf; and two brothers, Ronald and Richard Zemke.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
