Richard N. Ritter, 70, of Pewaukee, WI, passed away on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL.
Richard was born Aug. 18, 1944, in the town of Merrill, WI, to Norman and LuEllen (Utech) Ritter. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a gunner’s mate on the USS Nicholas DD449. He married his true love, Diana Baron, on Aug. 18, 1977 and they shared 37 wonderful years together.
Richard was a sailor at heart and loved being on the water. He enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Diana; two daughters, Karen (Rob) McElvaney, Marietta, GA, Christina (Trent) Ott, Milwaukee, WI; two sons, Alon (Kristy) Argov, Concord, NC, John (Laura) Ritter, Menomonee Falls, WI; two brothers, William (Sarah) Ritter, Merrill, WI, Peter (Dian) Ritter, Merrill, WI; seven grandchildren, Avital (14), Liora(12), Caleb (6), Luke (4), Isabella (4), Victoria (2), Olivia (2) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Hughes.
Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 470 North Oak Crest Drive, Wales, WI 53183 on Saturday, January 10 at 12:00pm.
