Reinhardt named Youth Optimist of the Month

Mason Reinhardt, nominated by Mr. Rob Klug and Mr. Scott Arneson, has been chosen as the September Youth Optimist. Mr. Klug states that, “Mason is an outstanding high school athlete. His passion and dedication from the football field spills back into the classroom. Role model is the best adjective to describe Mason.”
Mr. Arneson comments that, “Mason has always given 100%. In class he’s a hard worker, cooperative student and a great leader. Mature, competitive, hard working, optimistic, reliable and cooperative are just a few words that I would use to describe Mason Reinhardt.”
Class rank for Mason is 1 of 232 with a GPA of 4.0. Mason has taken such classes as Honors Biology, Honors Algebra, English Honors Speech, Honors Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology and Calculus. He has participated in wrestling, football and baseball. Mason has received Merrill Academic Scholar Medals, Merrill Scholar Gold Medals and Merrill High School Honor Roll for grades 9, 10 and 11 as well as Honors Chemist of the Year in his junior year.
Outside of school Mason volunteers for football camp, wrestling coach, sports fundraisers, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Make a Difference Day. He is a member of FFA and National Honors Society.
After high school Mason plans to attend UW Madison for Physicians Assistant and wrestling. Mason is the son of Kent and Wendy Reinhardt.
