Delores M. Schemehorn, age 70, of Merrill, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Delores was born January 16, 1944, in Merrill, daughter of the late Alfred and Myrtle (Wiesman) Graap. Delores had dairy farmed and logged with her parents. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing word search puzzles, flower gardening, and fishing.
Delores is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann (Keith “Harvey”) Meyer, and Diana Harder (with Dan Trumblay), both of Merrill; her son, Ricky Schemehorn, Merrill; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Danny, Amanda, Alicia, Katie, Aaron, and Brennon; two step grandchildren, Adam and Andrew; three great grandchildren, Sophia, Aubrey, and Ezekiel; her brother, Donald (Darleen) Graap, Merrill; and a brother in law, Charles Shaver, Merrill. Besides her parents, Alfred and Myrtle Graap, Sr., Delores is preceded in death by an infant brother, Alfred Graap, Jr., a sister, Evelyn Shaver, and a brother and sister in law, Harvey and Cathy Graap.
The funeral service will begin at 10:30 A.M. Monday, November 17, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will follow in Chat Cemetery, Town of Birch. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
