Stephen C. Rasmussen, 66, of Merrill died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Merrill under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Wausau.
He was born July 12, 1948 in Merrill, WI son of the late Leslie and Marcia (Whitney) Rasmussen. Stephen received his education in Merrill. He was drafted into the United States Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge he returned to Merrill. On July 13, 1974 Stephen married Sandra Schield. In 1977 he began working for Oscar J. Boldt Construction where he was remained for 25 years where he recognized for outstanding service to the company. On July 17, 1984 he was married to Natalie Struck.
For the past four years he has been a resident of Pinecrest Nursing Home in Merrill.
He is survived by four children, Jason Rasmussen of Wausau, Stephen Rasmussen Jr. and Natasha (Adam) Wilkens both of Eau Claire, and Felicia Rasmussen of Wausau, four grandchildren, Alicia, India, Eden and Nora and two brothers Michael Rasmussen and Pat Rasmussen both of Merrill.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Helke Funeral Home 302 Spruce St Wausau. Visitation will be from 2pm to service time at the funeral home.
