West bests MHS

The Bluejays girls capped off their home schedule with a 134-35 loss to Wausau West.
The Senior Night designation was especially appropriate on Thursday.
“Miranda Jahnke rose to the occasion for her last home meet in the PRMS pool,” MHS coach Lisa Siewert said. “She dropped time in every event, and had a lifetime best time in the 100 fly. This is very encouraging to see at this point in the season.
“It was our senior night, and we graduated three seniors: Miranda Jahnke, Hanna Cohrs, and Morgan Norton. Each of them will be greatly missed next year. The team and myself wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
Jahnke swam a 1:14.40 for a runner-up finish in the fly and ranked third in the 200 IM in 2:41.20. Kendyl Pettit scored the other second place finish in the 50 free (:27.84).
The Jays ranked third in all three relays, the 200 medley (Norton, Jahnke, Pettit, Caitlyn Kolehouse, 2:16.91), the 200 free (Jahnke, Cohrs, Kolehouse, Pettit, 1:54.67) and the 400 free (Cohrs, Alexis Kanitz, Faith Wheat, Norton, 5:01.74).
