Betty Mae Dahlman

Betty Mae Dahlman was born in Merrill on May 1, 1923 to Harry and Florence Massart Saeger and peacefully joined her cherished husband Albert, her parents and siblings, Robert, Joan Jensen, Janet Tholl, Harriet Schnasse, Ronald and Glen in heaven on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014. 
Betty is survived by three loving sons and daughters-in-law: Mark and Janet; Kurt and Dana; Scott and Debbie; Karen Ashley Morris; grandchildren: Cory, David, Claire, Karla (Steven) Pakulski, Eric, Breanna, Shawna; great-grandson Cam; sisters Florence (Rodney) Kalenske; Judy (Donald) Buntrock; step-sister Lavine Krause; as well as nieces and nephews who all hold fond memories of her love, songs, poems, humor and guidance.
Betty was a proud United States Navy Veteran and served in Washington D. C. during WWII. She loved music and sang tenor with the Fox Valley Sweet Adeline’s, the Y-nots and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church choir. She was retired from Neenah Public Schools library services and was an avid quilter and crafter.
A graveside service for Betty will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah, WI.  The Rev. Paul L. Holte will officiate.
The family extends enormous appreciation to the staff of the Courtyards and Truby Pavilion at Luther Manor in Milwaukee for their extraordinary attention and care for the past 7 years.
Memorials have been established to benefit Luther Manor and St. Paul’s music programs in Betty’s name.
