THS shreds Abby

The Hatchet swimmers stayed perfect in conference with Thursday’s 107-60 triumph over Abbotsford/Colby.
Tomahawk has cracked the state rankings for the first time ever this year, and moved up to 8th in D2, while several individuals and relays earned placement.
“Another win!” THS coach Theresa L’Esperance said. “(We’re) 5-0 in the conference.
“(We had) nice swims by our sprinters, Lauren Hilt and Morgan Weber. Morgan swam a personal best, and we aren’t even at the end of the season. Lauren also swam her 3rd fastest all time in the 50 free. Lauren and Morgan went 1-2 in the 50, and Katherine Russell iced the cake with a 3rd place finish. Actually, we placed 1, 2, 3 in the first four events.
“Mikhayla Kleich continues to gain strength in her 500 and won her event by more than 30 seconds to our freshman Kirstin Marcks. Emily Zurfluh is also continuing to improve in her distance events. Seniors Taylor Hansen and Michaela Galganski swam near personal records in the fly and breast respectively.”
THS sweeps came in the: 200 free (Rachel Dallman, 2:10.9/Marcks, 2:25.04/Zurfluh, 2:32.28); 200 IM (Baylee Dallman, 2:35.47/Kleich, 2:37.53/Jackie Elliott, 2:56.78); 50 free (Hilt, :24.85/Weber, :25.46/Russell, :28.89); 500 free (Kleich, 5:55.46/Marcks, 6:25.05/Zurfluh, 6:53.15) and 100 free (Weber, :57.09/R. Dallman, :58.27/Michaela Galganski, 1:05.31).
