Ronald ?Ron? A. Kautz

Ronald “Ron” A. Kautz, age 71, of Antigo, formerly of Merrill, passed away in the comfort of his home Sept. 29, 2014.

Ronald “Ron” A. Kautz, age 71, of Antigo, formerly of Merrill, passed away in the comfort of his home Sept. 29, 2014. 
He was born in the city of Merrill on Oct. 24, 1943 to Arnold & Mildred (Heideman) Kautz. He married Darlene Grell Dec. 19, 1970.
Ron loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting both deer and bear. He was very proud of his mounted trophies on the wall. Ron loved spending time with his family. He retired from owning Oasis Bar on Hwy. 64, east of Merrill, which he ran with his wife Darlene for eight years before moving to Antigo. Ron played pool and did grass drags. He loved his beloved dog Regi who was by his side ALL the time.
Survivors include his wife Darlene (Grell) Kautz, Antigo; mother: Mildred Kautz; son: Brian Kautz; daughter: Peggy Guite; nine grandchildren: Amanda (Ethan) Krause, Samantha Kautz, Brandon Kautz, Nyleen, Kayleen, Shayleen, Seleen, Benji Jr. and Colby; and three great-grandchildren: Addisyn and Charlie Krause and Collin Peeters. He was preceded in death in death by his father, Arnold Kautz and son-in-law, Benji Guite Sr.
A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service Monday also at the funeral home. Rev. Tamara Burnett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family may be sent to Waid Funeral Home.
