Pine Ridge Mobil to add Arby?s

“It’s good for the corner and good for the community,” says Gary Schwartz of adding an Arby’s franchise to the complete rebuild of the Pine Ridge Mobil on the corner of Hwy. 64 East and Pine Ridge Avenue. “Mary and I chose Arby’s out of a list of 10 possible food franchises. It’s growing nationwide, and Pine Ridge Convenience Stores will feature one of the first in the nation with the new modern look Arby’s is unveiling.”
This renovation of the Pine Ridge Mobil Convenience Store is the sixth undertaken since the Schwartz’s acquired the property in 1976.
“It was just us and dirt out here then,” Gary joked. “The last major renovation was completed in 1991, so it was time we improved to serve our customers and friends better.
“Besides, change is on the horizon as Goliath is coming,” Gary added, alluding to the impending construction of a new Kwik Trip nextdoor.
Construction began in earnest Monday. Everything about the property will change, both inside and out.
“We’re taking the lot clear out to the sidewalk, Gary said. “In fact, the east pumps will be relocated, too. Nothing will be the same.”
“This will be exciting for the customers to watch the changes as they take place, remarked Mary. “We surely appreciate our well-trained staff as patience will be needed during this three-month construction period. We have four generations of customers that continue to patronize Pine Ridge Mobil. They are more like family than customers!”
In fact, Pine Ridge Mobil is offering free coffee and fountain soda during this time to customers brave enough to put up with the construction.
