Jeannal Diagostine, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Artisan Assisted Living in Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
She was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on November 18, 1929, daughter of the late Alfred and Jeanette (Holup) Kloss. Jeannal married George H. Diagostine on May 9, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2012. Jeannal was a devout catholic and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. She was an avid Bridge player, and also enjoyed sewing and knitting. Jeannal was a homemaker and had also worked in the Lincoln County Clerk’s office as a recorder.
She is survived by four children, Linda (Bob) Nook, of Sarasota, FL, Scott (Marcia) Diagostine, of Tucson, AZ, Dean (Ginger) Diagostine, of Merrill, and Jenny (Jeff) Beyer, of Merrill. She leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, an infant son, Jeff, and her parents.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, or the charity of your choice.
