New Farmers Market to launch at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center on July 10

Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center will begin hosting a weekly Farmers Market on Thursday, July 10.
The Ministry Good Samaritan Farmers Market is open to the public and will be held on the southernmost portion of the facilities main parking lot along O’Day Street from 3-7 p.m. or until sold out each Thursday through October.
“This will provide Merrill and Lincoln County residents another opportunity to access healthy produce from area vendors,” said Jane Bentz, Foundation and Community Outreach Director at Ministry Good Samaritan. “We are especially excited to offer this during the afternoon hours to allow those who may work during the day to participate.”
The Ministry Good Samaritan Farmers Market will compliment already established Farmers Markets in Merrill which are held in Normal Park every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Tomahawk residents can access Farmers Markets in Washington Park every Saturday and the Main Street Farmers Market every Tuesday.
EBT and debit cards are welcomed at all Lincoln County Farmers Markets and are the result of the collaborative effort of the Lincoln County Nutrition Coalition.
Members include: Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital, Healthy People Lincoln County, University of Wisconsin Extension-Lincoln County and the Lincoln County Health Department.
