Humane Society holds third annual calendar contest

The Lincoln County Humane Society (LCHS) is once again collecting photos of your favorite companion animals for the 2015 LCHS calendar contest.  The theme for 2015 is “Forever Home.”
“This is our third year for the calendar and we are as excited as ever,” said Jeni Hinz, calendar coordinator.  “Each year we’ve done something a little different. This year we are asking pet owners to submit their own photos. We are hoping for some really fun photos depicting their pets being silly, serious, sweet and simply enjoying life as a pet with a forever home. We are also hoping for more variety in the species of animals being submitted.  There have been lots of cats and dogs and one guinea pig in the past. This year we are hoping to see the unique animals that stole your heart and became part of your family.”
Search through your old photos or get out your camera.  The shelter will be accepting photos from May 1-31. The public will be able to vote online through www.furrypets.com and also in person at the shelter from June 1 through Labor Day. Please visit the shelter’s website at www.furrypets.com for more information including official rules and the entry form. Take the opportunity to showcase the pet you love and also give your pet the chance to be the lucky winner.
