Adeline Brandt

Adeline Brandt, age 94, of Merrill, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Artisan Assisted Living in Merrill. 
She was born July 9, 1919 in the town of Berlin, daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Schuster) Mueller. Adeline married George Brandt on May 25, 1946 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in the town of Hamburg. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1993.
George and Adeline farmed in the town of Stettin until 1976, at which time they retired. They then moved to Wausau in 1991. Adeline then moved to Merrill in 2008. She was a lifetime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Rib Falls, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the ladies aid. Adeline was an extremely great baker and cook and enjoyed baking for her neighbors. She most especially had a strong faith and would read her Bible every day. God was very good to her. At a young age, Adeline had polio but that did not stop her from living a good, full life. She also enjoyed playing cards and sewing but most especially spending time with family and many dear friends. Adeline will be sadly missed.
Survivors include twin nieces, Carol (Mike) Mueller-Galganski, Gleason, and Cheryl (Russ) Mueller-Butalla, Marathon City; three nephews, Thomas (Judy) Mueller, Merrill, William (Rita) Mueller, Wausau, and Daniel (Nancy) Mueller, Marshfield; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Mueller-Jaeger; one niece-in-law, Char Mueller, Madison; 12 great nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of over 45 years, George Brandt, one brother, Algart Mueller, and one nephew, Ray Mueller.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Rib Falls. Rev. Terry Reich officiated. Burial followed in Friedenheim Cemetery, town of Berlin. 
The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Artisan Assisted Living, Memory Care staff and Ministry Health Care. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Sunday School.
