Jerome M. Brosowsky

Jerome M. Brosowsky, 65, Merrill, died unexpectedly Friday evening, April 4, 2014 at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill.
Jerome was born on Dec. 7, 1948 in Merrill to the late Herbert and Shirley (Lohff) Brosowsky.
Jerome graduated from Merrill Senior High School in 1967 and then enlisted during the Vietnam War and served in the Navy prior to being honorably discharged.
Jerome later worked for the Bonnell Family; first at Red Owl and then at Dave’s County Market. He enjoyed traveling and just spending time in area coffee shops.
In the early 1980’s Jerome became like an “adopted brother” to Michael “Loopy” Caylor as he took over Jerome’s guardianship until Michael’s passing in 2009. At that time Michael’s wife and family took over responsibility for Jerome’s care. Jerome always appreciated the extra time and attention that the many people in the community gave to him over the many years.
Survivors include the Michael J. Caylor, Sr. family; his loving caregivers at Artisan Assisted Living in Merrill where he has lived for many years; and his faith community at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. R. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park with graveside military rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 1638, Merrill. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting with arrangements.
