Loretta M. Krueger, age 81, of Merrill, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Loretta was born August 3, 1932, in Merrill, daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Zimmerman) Gilson. She married Herman F. Krueger on February 12, 1955, in Merrill. He survives. Loretta worked for 25 years as a Nursing Assistant at Pine Crest Nursing Home. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Loretta enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, knitting and going to garage sales. She also enjoyed camping and gardening. Loretta loved spending time with her five grandchildren.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Herman F. Krueger, of Merrill; two daughters, Sue Ann (Brian) Hansen and Dawn Krueger, of Merrill; one son, Mark (Lora) Krueger, of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Eric, Mara and Adam; and one brother, Raymond (Phyllis) Gilson, of Merrill. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Jane Fehrman; and three brothers, Roger, Robert and Sherwood Gilson.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Mr. Robert Schneider, Lay Minister at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery the following morning. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill.
