Free Job Center employment search help at library
Looking for a job? The Wausau Job Center and Merrill’s T.B. Scott Free Library want to help, and are teaming up to make your search easier.
T.B. Scott Library and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development are working together to offer job-seeking help to the Merrill community. The first sessions will be held in the library’s Board Room on Tuesday, March 4, from 6-7:30 p.m., and on Thursday, March 6, from 10-11:30 a.m.
Staff from the Wausau Job Center will be on hand to offer personalized help with writing a resume, developing interview and online job hunting skills, and any other questions job seekers may have. At the same time, all of the library’s resources, including computers with free Internet access, Job Center handouts, and shelves of books about writing resumes and cover letters and other employment search topics, will be close at hand.
Reservations are not necessary, and no computer skills are required. Come to the library’s third floor where you’ll be directed to staff ready to help.
This collaboration between the Wausau Job Center and T.B. Scott Library will provide help twice a month at the library for job seekers on an ongoing basis. See the library’s website atwww.tbscottlibrary.org for complete schedule listings, or call 715-536-7191 with questions.
