Ronald L. Woller

Ronald L. Woller, 68, of Merrill, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau.
Ron was born June 10, 1945, in Merrill, son of the late Fremont and Lenora (Lange) Woller. He married Shirley Jabas on Aug. 6, 1966. She survives. 
Ron was the owner/operator of Woller Construction, and was a dealer for Wisconsin Homes. Ron and Shirley were the former owners of the BP Gas Station on North Center Avenue in Merrill. Ron was also a real estate broker. He was a member and past-chair of the Merrill Zoning Board of Appeals and was a former member of the Merrill Planning Commission. Ron was a former member and president of the Merrill Band Boosters. He was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Ron and Shirley enjoyed spending winters at their home in Florida. Ron also enjoyed attending the many activities of his children and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and camping in northern Wisconsin, and following the Packers and Badgers. Ron was a proud 1967 graduate of North Central Technical College, Wausau.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Woller, Merrill; two daughters, Sarah (Mark) Cooper, North Port, FL, and Becky Schemenauer (with partner, David Hummer) of Wausau; three grandchildren, Anthony Bruno of North Port, FL, and Carson and Savannah Schemenauer, both of Wausau; one brother, Daniel Woller, Merrill; and sister, Shirlene Tunney of Minnesota. Ron is also survived by his pet dog and best friend “Yogi.” Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Fremont and Lenora Woller, an infant son, Ronald L. Woller, Jr., and his father and mother in law, Dale and Norma Jabas. 
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Joel Hoelter will officiate. Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery, West, Town of Scott. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
