Two Church Mutual officers assume new roles

Bob Buckley is the new Vice President — Underwriting and Policyholder Services and Cheryl Kryshak is the new Vice President — Risk Control in a pair of officer promotions and reassignments announced by Church Mutual Insurance Company President and CEO Mike Ravn. 
Buckley has moved into Kryshak’s former role, while Kryshak’s position is a new one within the 116-year-old property and casualty company.
Kryshak joined Church Mutual in 1998 as a Senior Underwriter in its long-term care unit. She was promoted to Long-Term Care Underwriting Coordinator in 1999, Assistant Vice President — Underwriting Manager in 2000 and Vice President — Underwriting in 2012. She has the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations.
“In our increased attention to enterprise risk management and a continuation of excellent customer service, we recognized the need to make risk control an officer-led position,” Ravn explained. Kryshak will report directly to Chief Operating Officer Rich Poirier.
Buckley joined Church Mutual in 1988 as a Regional Representative in New York. He was promoted to Division Manager in 1997 and Eastern Regional Sales Manager in 2005. In 2007, Buckley was promoted to Assistant Vice President — New Markets and Product Research and Development and, in 2009, to Vice President — Corporate Pricing, Products, Line Services and New Markets. He was then named Vice President — Organizational Planning and Process Management in 2011. His designations include CPCU and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
“In his 25 years with the company, Bob has been highly successful at taking on new, more expanded roles,” Ravn said. “He has a vast wealth of experience gained across many departments in the company.” Buckley will report directly to Senior Vice President — Commercial Lines Operations Jim Jordan.
Church Mutual, which now insures more than twice as many religious organizations as its nearest competitor, is rated A (Excellent) by industry analyst 
A.M. Best.
