?Our Courts Rule? at T.B. Scott Library

Celebrate Lincoln’s birthday with an afternoon program exploring how justice works in Wisconsin, and an evening program focusing on POTUS #16 himself, as part of T.B. Scott Free Library’s Words Worth Hearing series.
Myths and Realities of Wisconsin Courts will be presented on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. Listen and learn from Wausau attorney Kimberly Haas, who will present this Wisconsin Bar Association Our Courts program. Haas will entertain and enlighten her audience on the differences between media portrayals like John Grisham and Judge Judy, and how our court system really functions.
Honest Abe himself will be at the library to greet you, beginning at 6:30 p.m., to lead off the Words Worth Hearing doubleheader nightcap. At 7 p.m., discover why Lincoln was great as Kimberly Haas presents a historically accurate glimpse of the man who served as president during a perilous stretch of our nation’s history. Then you’ll hear from Lincoln re-enactor Tim Lonsdorf, whose presentation will bring history to life for young and old alike.
Refreshments from Checkered Churn and First Street Coffee Station will add to your enjoyment as we celebrate Lincoln’s Birthday with a pair of Scott Free programs.  Explore Legal reality vs. fiction and Learn of Lincoln’s legacy. You are welcome to take in one or both.
