Doyle A. Klade, age 87, of Merrill, formerly of Tomahawk, died Monday, December 30, 2013, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Doyle was born on August 30, 1926, in Merrill, son of the late Fred and Mildred (Plautz) Klade. He married Dorothy Erickson on December 18, 1948, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. She survives. Doyle had worked as a dairy farmer. He had also been employed at the former Anson-Gilkey and Merrill View Dairy, both of Merrill. Doyle was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, vegetable gardening, and doing handy work.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Klade, of Merrill; three sons, Doyle (Sandi) Klade, of Menomonie, WI, Gary Klade, of Tomahawk and Allan (Tammy) Klade, of Merrill; four grandchildren, Jennifer Cahak, Andrew (Heather) Klade, Kris (fiancee’, Mandy) Klade and Jackie (John) Arrowood; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Hayden and Allayah; four sisters, Maryann (Ernest) Weisskopf, of Merrill, Helen (Everett) Lange, of Tomahawk, Sandy Euler, of Crossville, TN, and Ida Schult, of Merrill; one brother, Rowe (Annette) Klade, of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Doyle was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Brown and Faye Klade; and six brothers, William, Roger, Richard ‘Dick’, Fred Jr., Dennis and Thomas.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 11:30 A.M. Friday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
