Lincoln County Sheriff?s reports, 11-13-13 edition

A cell 911 call of a one vehicle rollover in the Town of Tomahawk sent emergency crews to the area of State Rd. 86 and Bridge Rd. Just after 3:30 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled over near the Lincoln and Price County line. As deputies along with Tomahawk EMS and Fire Departments responded to the scene, another caller reported the vehicle had been up-righted, appeared to have no damage and the driver was going to drive it home. According to the deputy’s report, the 51-year-old Westboro woman was coming home from the dentist when she fell asleep, rolling it over; she refused medical treatment.

The number of car deer crashes went up significantly in the last week with 30 of them being reported. On Monday, a bear was found struck on US Hwy. 51 near County Rd. S south of Tomahawk, On Wednesday, a badger was struck and killed on County Rd. Z at Maple Grove Rd. in the Town of Scott, and on Thursday a Merrill man reported hitting a bobcat on County Rd. M at Leafy Grove Rd. in the Town of Corning. Both drivers claimed those animals.
