MHS netters pick up All-Valley honors

The Bluejay girls tennis team recently wrapped up a decent season and two members of the squad earned Honorable Mention in the Valley for their solid finishes in the league’s tournament.
Seniors Chloe Krahn and Megan Smith picked up the honors.
“Both girls were valuable singles players for our team this past season,” MHS coach Janet Thompson said. “Chloe finished with an 11-6 overall record at #2 singles. She is a very dedicated player who always pushes herself to improve. Chloe has a powerful and accurate serve, which is one of her best weapons. She also puts a lot of pace on her shots and is able to place those shots, which allows her to play very smart tennis.
“Megan played #3 singles for us, finishing with a 10-5 record and a third place finish at the conference meet. Megan plays with confidence and determination. She has solid groundstrokes and also worked hard over the course of the season to add diversity to her game by using slice shots and volleys.
“They are both very deserving of the award!”
