T. B. Scott Free Library invites readers in grades 6-12 to the library community room on Nov. 4, a “no school” day, to watch the first movie based on The Hunger Games trilogy by author Suzanne Collins.
Beginning at 1 p.m., readers will be given the opportunity to share something special about a favorite character or event from any book by Suzanne Collins. Following the brief discussion, the group will be treated to snacks and the movie.
Several books and audiobooks have been set aside at the Youth Services Desk on the 2nd floor of T. B. Scott Library, ready for check out. Readers may also find a book to read or review at their school library or possibly in their own collections.
Other books by Suzanne Collins include the popular series, The Underland Chronicles.
This Reads ‘n Reels event was scheduled now to coincide with the Nov. 22 release of “Catching Fire,” the second movie in the Hunger Games trilogy.
