Anthony ?Tony? Francis Sczygelski

Anthony “Tony” Francis Sczygelski, age 68, of Merrill, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Tony was born Dec. 10, 1944 in Merrill, the son of Adam and Anna (Kordus) Sczygelski. Tony worked at Consumers Co Op and farmed most of his life. He and Corrine Kluckman were united in marriage June 20, 1985.
He enjoyed hunting, making his own sausage and his own maple syrup. Tony also enjoyed driving his tractor, working on cars and tractors and shooting pool. Tony was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife: Corrine Sczygelski, Merrill; children: Ann (Matthew) Brice, Connie (Stephen) Brown, all of Wausau, James Sczygelski, and Michael (Margaret) Sczygelski, all of Merrill; grandchildren: Amanda Sczygelski, Marshfield, Nicole Brice, Katinna Brice, Travis Brown, Thomas and Samantha Brown, Dakota Witz, all of Wausau, Sabastian Sczygelski, Plover, Jared Kniess, Jacob and Hannah Sczygelski, all of Merrill; two great grandchildren: Magiq and Skyla. He is also survived by two brothers: Lawrence (Vivian), and John (Helen) Sczygelski; and three sisters: Rosemary (Robert) Eckardt, Genevieve Hollenback, and Esther Ament.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Charlie Sczygelski and sister: Regina Roets.
Funeral Service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Fr. Mike McLain will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, 3 p.m. until the time of service and resume again after the service until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
