On Friday evening at 7:17 p.m. Merrill police were advised of a man from Missouri selling a liquid cleaning solution door to door in Merrill without a permit.
The salesman was located in the 1800 block of E. 10th St. by Merrill police officers. Upon the officers’ arrival, the salesman was found to have given his vehicle keys to his potential customer. The salesman was found to be intoxicated and also was consuming the product he was selling.
He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and released to a responsible party.
