Ram Truck test drive to benefit food pantry

On Saturday, June 8, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Brickner’s Park City will be offering test drives of new Ram pickup trucks. For every test drive, $10 will be donated to the Merrill Food Pantry. The more people who jump in a Ram for a test drive, the greater the donation to the food pantry.
The test drives will be held at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in conjunction with the Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo. Rodeo contestants, rodeo queen and rodeo clown will be on site signing authentic “Ram Rodeo” back tags. The Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo is part of the Ram Rodeo Series.
The Ram Test Drive is similar to the Drive for the Kids events Brickner’s sponsors in Merrill to benefit local schools. The most recent event netted nearly $2,500 for St. John Lutheran School.
The donations from the Drive for the Kids events are funded by Chrysler, while the Ram Test Drive proceeds will come from Brickner’s.
The rodeo organization annually donates its profits to community causes. However, the need to rent bleachers this year will cut into the amount the rodeo can donate. Brickner’s Park City owner Jim Brickner said he wanted to step up and fund the Ram Test Drive event to help fill that gap.
