The 2013 Lincoln County Fair scheduled for July 17-21 will feature a huge Entertainment Tent on the East end courtesy of new major sponsor Pagel’s Pub n Grub.
“We’re determined to put on the best possible Fair for the enjoyment of our community & tourists; utilizing what we have rather than what we’re missing,” quipped Dale Christiansen, Fair Board member.
The Pagel’s Entertainment Tent schedule begins on Wednesday, July 17 at 8 p.m. with the country sound of Jerry Schmitt. Thursday, July 18, from 4:30-8 p.m. will feature rock band SLAB opening for the popular Vic Farrari Band. On Friday, July 19, Granite Rose begins at 4:30 p.m. followed by Star Six Nine, a party rock band taking the stage at 8 p.m. Geoff Landon & the Wolf Pak return to rock the Lincoln County Fair on Saturday, July 20, beginning at 8 p.m. preceded by Katie Beth. Closing out the weekend, Jagged Highway takes the Pagel’s Entertainment Tent stage Sunday afternoon July 21 at 1 p.m. with Crystal & the Commotion following at 5 p.m.
Experience the Thrill of Zip Lining, a new attraction for Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19, only during the 2013 the Lincoln County Fair.

Interactive, fuzzy characters from TA-DA Robots will perform while strolling the midway – sure to be entertaining for young and old alike! If inclement weather arrives, the battery operated robots will delight the crowds in the Bone & Joint Centerstage Activity Tent. Beginning Wednesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. with Dave Fox & Foxfire band, Dick Stoeckman of the Fair Association is lining up a plethora of activities. Thursday, July 18, Andrew Grawien will play concertina from 1-2:30 p.m. Hunter Dux entertains with banjo and guitar from 2:45-4:45 p.m. On Friday, July 19, Home Free, a 5-person acappella group will perform at 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. with Sound Doctrine at 5:30 p.m. and Lou Cousins providing Karaoke & DJ at 8:30 p.m., for a full day of pleasure.
Saturday, July 20, the Market Animal Show and Sale begins at 10 a.m. in the Rotunda of the Stock Pavilion. But due to more stringent health regulations, food can no longer be consumed anywhere in the Stock Pavilion. M.A.S.S. complimentary refreshments for the bidders will be served in the Bone & Joint Centerstage Activity Tent Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Home Free returns to entertain the Saturday crowd at 1, 3 and 4:30 p.m. The 4H Demonstrations and Speeches are slated for presentation on Saturday, July 20 from 2-3 p.m. on the Bone & Joint Centerstage. DJ Lou Cousin also graciously returns providing Karaoke entertainment from 8:30-11:45 p.m.
United Church of Christ minister Phil Schneider, a Merrill native, will lead the casual Sunday Worship Service on July 21 beginning at 10:30 a.m. The final activity in the Bone & Joint Center Stage Activity Tent is your chance to dance to the Polka Music of the Polish Cowboys. Of course, all entertainment and bands are subject to change.
