Ermgard A. Kleinschmidt

Ermgard A. Kleinschmidt, 97, of Merrill, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Ermgard was born January 31, 1916, in the Town of Corning, Lincoln County, daughter of the late Henry and Helene (Kniess) Juedes. She married August Kleinschmidt, Jr., on August 22, 1936, in the Town of Corning. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1963. Ermgard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin. She was employed at the former Fromm Brothers in Hamburg and the former Hinz’s Cork and Dyne in Merrill. She enjoyed sewing, vegetable gardening and canning, embroidery, and will be remembered for making the best cinnamon rolls. She took great pleasure in babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Zocher, of Merrill; her son, Don Kleinschmidt, of Wausau; six grandchildren, Dennis Zocher, Lynette (Dan) Carpentier, Dawn (Victor) Soczka, Janelle (Jim) Fochs, Scott (Steve Kaiser) Kleinschmidt, and Gail (Todd) Racino; eleven great-grandchildren, Jesse, Kevin, Wendy, Joseph, Heather, Kimberly, Luke, Joshua, Jenah, Alex and Adam; four great-great-grandchildren, Ian, Janelle Beth, Tanner and Mason; and one sister, Ramona Burrows, of Merrill. Ermgard was preceded in death by her husband, August Kleinschmidt, Jr.; her parents, Henry and Helene Juedes; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Kleinschmidt; a son-in-law, Erwin Zocher; two sisters, Mildred and Ivy; and five brothers, Erwin, Edwin, Ruben, Lawerance and Robert.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin, Marathon County. The Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will officiate. Burial will take place at Trinity Church Cemetery, Town of Berlin. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Friday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
