Frank D. Wilson

Frank D. Wilson, age 76, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield after suffering a stroke on March 24.
He was born January 30, 1937, in Hazel, KY, to the late Medley and Lillie Mae Wilson.
Frank grew up in Melber, KY, and attended school there. He served in the United States Air Force in the 1950’s and moved to Melrose Park, IL, in 1952. He was married to Shirley Moritz in August of 1959. While living in Melrose Park, he worked for Gravely Garden Tractors for several years. Frank moved to the Tomahawk area in 1971 and worked at Harley-Davidson for 26 years, retiring in 1997.
Frank enjoyed playing cards, crafting, building wishing wells and painting. He enjoyed going to rummage sales and classic car shows and loved spending time at his home with his cat “Rudy”.
Survivors include his Daughter, Beverly (David) Weege of Tomahawk,
One Brother, Don (Mary Salee) Wilson of Mount Prospect, IL, and
One Sister, Wanda Sue Alexander of Paducah, KY.
Frank is also survived by 3 Granddaughters, Carey, Katie and Kiersten, and a Great Grandson, Damian.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his Wife, Shirley in 2004, a Son, Jeff Wilson in 2001, 2 Sisters, Mabel Lamb and Willie Mae Wilson, and a Brother, Everette Wilson.
Memorial Services for Frank Wilson will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 11 AM from Generations Funeral Home at 1400 N. 4th Street., Tomahawk. Arthur Moritz will officiate. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM. Generations Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
