Scott C. Saal, age 59, of Merrill, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Scott was born February 10, 1954, in Wausau, son of Frank and Armilla (Wilde) Saal. He was a graduate of Merrill Senior High School and North Central Technical College, Wausau, where he earned a degree in Automotive Mechanics. Scott had been employed with Merrill Manufacturing Corporation, Merrill. He enjoyed motorcycles, reading, and antique automobiles. Scott was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed shooting skeet, participating in rifle competitions, and attending gun shows.
Survivors include his father, Frank Saal, Sr., Merrill; one brother, Frank (wife, Theresa) Saal, Jr., Merrill; a niece, Sarah Saal of Austin, Texas; and his nephew, Frank Saal, III, of Merrill. Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Armilla.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.
