Riverside Athletic Club announces the fifth annual Run United 10K. 5K and 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 8 a.m. with the start/finish line at its location at 500 S. Center Ave. in Merrill. Registration is going on now.
“This is the 5th year we are hosting the Run United Race here in Merrill,” says Paul Kienitz, Riverside Athletic Club owner. “Our race is one way to help more people become involved in fitness and to support the good work Merrill Area United Way does for our community. We are proud to have people coming from all over the state as well as neighboring states to participate in the race.
“We are excited to be offering a new course this year that will run through our beautiful downtown area.” says Kienitz. “In addition, we are going to be starting the race at 8 a.m. and we are going to have Chip Timing this year. With all of these changes and updates, we know we will have a successful event.”
“Participants can print the registration form online by visiting our website www.riversideathletic.com.” says Becci Shuman, Riverside Athletic Club Manager. “We are excited to be partnering with Parisi Speed School, the Merrill Fire Department, Ministry Medical, WPS, Cellcom and of course, the Merrill United Way to name a few. It is not too late for other businesses to jump in and sponsor the event as well.
