Charles O. ?Chuck? Wirtz

Charles O. “Chuck” Wirtz, age 79, of 2500 Garfield Street, Two Rivers, died Monday morning, February 25, 2013, at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay.
Chuck was born April 11, 1933 in Sheboygan, son of the late Orville and Arlisle (Mahnke) Wirtz. In 1981 he married Marcia Raasch. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2007. Chuck worked in corrections at Kettle Moraine, Lincoln Hills in Irma, and was the director of Northland Home in Wausau. He lived in Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, and Merrill. In 2007 he moved to Two Rivers. Chuck had his Pilot’s license and enjoyed country music, sports, casinos, fish fry’s at Four Seasons Restaurant in Manitowoc and coffee with the guys at Pine Ridge in Merrill. He played semi-pro baseball with Sheboygan A’s in his youth (early 1950’s).
Survivors include his children: Kathleen Schultz, San Diego, CA; Deborah Wirtz, Fond du Lac; Wendy (David) Larsen, Denmark; Chris (John Wroblewski)Voigt, Brussels; Kevin (Colleen) Raasch, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren: Jeff(Kenna) Schultz, Ryan Schultz, Aaron (Tonya) Wirtz, Jeremy Wirtz, Mellissa (Chad) Runge, Tony (Sara) Larsen, Amanda (Josh) Wirtz, Robin Voigt, Sherry Wilber, Kelsey Raasch, Caitlin Raasch, Cullen Raasch; great grandchildren: Kaylee Wirtz, Ryleigh Wirtz, Keegan Runge, Sophia Runge, Jackson Runge, Molly Meyer, brother “Tip” (Jackie) Wirtz, Atlanta, GA; and mother of his children: Marilyn Wirtz, Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by a son: Rick Wirtz and a brother: Lyle Wirtz.
Per Chuck’s request, private family services were held and burial of his cremated remains will be in Merrill.
