The first prizes in T.B. Scott Free Library’s Adult Winter Read-In have been awarded, but there’s still plenty of time to be a winner.
The Winter Read In, now in its 13th year, offers adults (age 18 or older) an opportunity to win prizes for reading. Over $700 in prizes donated by area businesses and the Friends of T.B. Scott Library are
being awarded to lucky entrants.
Jan. 25 prize drawing winners were Lois DeCanter, Betty Ambrose, Karen Bergh, Gloria Schenzel, Don Zimmerman, Phyllis Presl, Dorothy Carlson, Stephen Mann, Thea Theissen, Audrey Anderson, and Rose Marie Plautz.
Entering is easy. First, read or listen to five books any way you like-in print, on your ebook reader, on CD or cassette, etc., either fiction or nonfiction.
Pick up an entry form at the library. Write the five book titles on the form, then drop it into a Read In box at the library. You can enter up to 50 times per contest.
You can also enter online. Go to the library’s Facebook page (T.B. Scott Free Library) and click on the “Events” button. Post your titles and authors there to enter.
Two more regular prize drawings on Feb. 8 and Feb. 22 will be made during WJMT-AM 730’s Our Town program at 8:45 a.m. Each reader may win one regular prize. Winners will also be notified by phone.
In addition, all entries are eligible for a March 8 grand prize basket with prizes from each Winter Read In sponsor: Hardee’s Restaurant, Hugo’s Pizza, Johnson Gifts, Culver’s Restaurant, Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe, Friends of T.B. Scott Library (Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates), Hometown Pharmacy, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Cost Cutters, and Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes.
