David Arthur Hartwig

David Arthur Hartwig, 58, of Lucena City, Philippines, formerly of Tomahawk, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
David was born on April 20, 1954, in Davenport, WA to Melvin Hartwig Sr. and Alice (Cloke) Hartwig. He graduated from Tomahawk High School and went into the U.S. Navy where he was a personelman, First Class E6. He retired after 20 eyars of service. He lived many places over the years including Tomahawk, Merrill, Norfolk, VA, Illinois, Florida and Lucena City, Philippines. David enjoyed playing games on the internet and visiting his family. He has an older twin brother by three minutes.
David is survived by his wife, Kim, Lucena City, Philippines. He is also survived by his daughters Lynn (Corey) Hall, Bluford, IL, Heather Canny, Mount Vernon, IL, Robin (Kenny) Hayes, Mount Vernon, IL; and one son Jasper David Hartwig, Lucena City, Philippines. David is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Dakota, Brad, Ashley, Justin, Christopher, Curtis and Mathew. He is further survived by his siblings: Melvin (Rosemary) Hartwig, Elyria, OH, Burna Martin, Tomahawk, twin brother Chris Hartwig, Tomahawk, Donna (John) Schoerner, Gleason, and Rick (Charlene) Hartwig, Boaz, AZ. David is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his many special friends.
David is preceded in death by his father Melvin Hartwig, Sr., his mother Alice (Cloke) Hartwig, and his brother Ronald who died in infancy.
Memorial services will be held later this spring in Tomahawk.
