The new Hometown Pharmacy location, which is located at 301 E. 2nd St. in Merrill, officially opened on Monday, December 31, 2012.
The new pharmacy location, which is designed to better assist customers by offering improved handicap accessibility, better parking and drive-through service, is located across from Park City Credit Union in the former Rajek Dental Office, conveniently located near other needed services including groceries, banking and the post office.
By moving to a standalone building and custom designing the interior layout of the pharmacy, Hometown Pharmacy is able to offer customers better, more convenient access to the store’s pharmacy services and retail area, and also incorporated features to make mobility easier throughout the building for customers with disabilities, including a handicap-accessible bathroom.
The drive-through service, which will allow customers to fill prescriptions more quickly and easily, will be ready for operation the third week of January.
The old Hometown Pharmacy location at 1021 E. Main St. closed as of Dec. 31, 2012.
Hometown Pharmacy has been proud to serve the Merrill area for more than three years. The pharmacy offers a variety of services, including prescriptions, home delivery, flu shots and all vaccinations, blood pressure measurements, Medicare Part D consultations, medication management evaluations, pet prescriptions and compounded medications.
