Albert L. Milner

Albert L. Milner, 90, of Rib Mountain, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at home under the care of Aspirus Wausau Hospice Services, surrounded by his family.
Albert was born on February 27, 1922 to the late Albert and Freda (Gerbeth) Milner in Minneapolis, MN. He married Mary Lou Lambrecht in Merrill on June 28, 1980.
He will be remembered for his love of woodworking and building model ships.
Al served as a Gunners Mate First Class in the US Navy during World War II, serving on the USS Sands for six years. He had the privilege of going on the Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou; daughter Patricia (Jack) Jackson; son Donald Milner; stepdaughters Karen Mootz and Mary (Gary Dengel) Cota and stepson James (Diane) Lambrecht; as well as thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Masonic services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Brainard Funeral Home-Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30 and again at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday all at the funeral home. There will be full military honors provided by the VFW Burns Post #388 Honor Guard.
