Lenore “Bubbles” Polowski, 69, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
She was born August 12, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Walter & Alida (Plante) Harder. She married Franklin Edward Beilke in 1961. He preceded her in death December 27, 2005. She married Charles Joseph Polowski August 1, 1987. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1997.
Bubbles moved to Merrill from Minneapolis in 1950. She grew up in the town of Maine. Lenore graduated from Antigo High School, class of 1960. Over the years she worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Company and Fox Point Sportswear. Bubbles had also worked as a bartender for many years in Merrill. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bubbles loved butterflies and enjoyed sewing, playing cribbage, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to make quilts for her family, especially for her newborn grandchildren.
Survivors include her son: Matthew Beilke, Merrill, two daughters: Nadine (Steve) Danke and Francine Timm, both of Waupaca; three step-daughters: Sheryl (Art) VanHoutte, Moline, IL, Debra (Tracy) Kamps, Crivitz, WI, Doreen (Conrad) Dallman, Schofield, WI: 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two brothers: John Harder and Denis Harder, both of Merrill, and one step-brother: Kurt Braun of Merrill. She was preceded in Death by her brother, Jared Harder of Savanna, IL
Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
