Jean I. Prueser-Olson, age 83, of Gleason, died Monday, Jan. 09, 2012, at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
She was born February 19, 1928, in the Town of Parrish, Langlade County, daughter of the late Philip Arthur and Lottie (Fralick) Pond. She married Henry Prueser on May 18, 1946, in Milwaukee, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1988. Jean then married Cliff H. Olson on May 22, 1993, in Gleason. He survives. Jean had worked as a cook at the Dudley, Gleason, and Midway Schools. She enjoyed quilting; family genealogy; gardening; and sewing.

Olson of Gleason, include (2) daughters, Leona (Carl) Vander Sanden, Gleason, and Gloria (Bruce) Rahlf, Rhinelander; (1) son, Terry (with wife, Alice) Prueser, Gleason; (10) grandchildren, Mark (wife, Nicole) Vander Sanden, and Julie (husband, Ken) Abraham, both of Wausau, Jeff (wife, Sarah) Vander Sanden, Deerbrook, Philip (wife, Beth) Rahlf, Rhinelander, Lee (wife, Amy) Rahlf, Wausau, Toni (husband, Jason) Dunwoody of Weston, Joy (husband, Tom) Berry of Appleton, Brian (wife, Tracey) Manock of Gleason, Tammy Reed of Gleason, and Todd Catlin of Gleason; (23) great grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Macy, Makenna, Kolton, Bailee, Grace, Jed, Bryce, Omar Jr., Aidan, Zander, Logan, Joanne, Samantha, Victoria, Alexis, Zach, Justin, Cole, Marcus, Alivia, and Craig; (1) brother, Stanley Pond, Belvidere, Illinois; and (1) sister, Nellie Reed. Jean is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Prueser; (2) sisters, Cora Robison-Wickham and Lenita Litzen; and also by (5) brothers, Norris, Louis, James, Leonard, and Warren Pond.
Jean’s funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Gleason. The Rev. Alden J. Beversdorf will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and at the church on Friday after 9:30 A.M.
