Northcentral Technical College’s Public Safety Center of Excellence will have the capability to train for natural gas related incidents thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation. The donation will support the development of a leak detection field at the Public Safety Center of Excellence in Merrill.
Wisconsin Public Service representatives Rick Socha and Kent Reinhardt presented NTC with the check earlier this year at the Public Safety Center of Excellence. The Center provides state-of-the-art training for public safety personnel. The training fills the gap between classroom discussions and simulated emergency incidents that mimic real-life critical events while drastically reducing the inherent risks of actual hazardous situations and materials.
