LuAnn Gumtz, age 72, of Merrill, died Monday, September 5, 2011, at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.
LuAnn was born June 16, 1939, in Merrill, daughter of the late Emil and Edna (Radenz) Gumtz. She assisted her parents on the family dairy farm, and she also worked at Fromm Brothers in Hamburg. LuAnn enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
LuAnn is survived by one sister in law, Arline Gumtz, Wausau; one brother in law, Orville Anklam, Merrill; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Anklam; and also by her brother, Vilas Gumtz.
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, Town of Berlin. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting with arrangements.
